The proposal for the Morada do Bosque house aims to convey tranquility through architecture. . The use of white on the facades combined with glass frames makes the solid brick planes stand out in the context. In a nighttime setting, subtle lighting created by sconces creates a new perspective of the residence and further emphasizes the exposed brick surfaces.
The formal composition of the residence presents a longer volume where the emphasis is on the green roof which, with a single sense of trim, extends and connects the back of the ground floor to the second floor. Furthermore, on the front facade the extension of the slab creates a balcony that functions as an extension of the social area, and allows full visualization of the nature of the Itaara mountain range.
The proposed floor plan presents a “T” shape, where the ground floor contains the social sectors integrated at the beginning of the plan, and the intimate sectors in its extension. The second floor contains the house’s office – which can be used as a third bedroom – and this accesses a conventional terrace and a garden terrace.
